ne Jones has
been critic for Dallas
Voice,
a gay and lesbian newspaper established in 1984, since 2001. He has
written extensively about the arts for more than 10 years, previously
serving as the lead film critic for The
Dallas Observer and KDFW-Fox 4 television
and film columnist
for The Met. He has
contributed pieces to a wide variety of publications,
including The Fort Worth
Star-Telegram,
Entertainment Weekly, Qtexas and American Lawyer, and online
publications such as Dallas Sidewalk. His published books include The Envelope Please, a
trivia/history of the Academy Awards, and Yoga Fights Flab, co-written
with Glenda
Twining.
Currently he
serves as an adjunct professor teaching mass media in the
Meadows
School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, where he had
previously been a guest lecturer. He is also the founding arts &
leisure editor for TXT Newsmagazine,
a Texas statewide news and entertainment weekly. He can be
